Quorum Federal Credit Union Senior Manager - Systems Infrastructure in Purchase, New York

The Sr. Manager of Systems Infrastructure works closely with the IT Business Services group as well as third party vendors to deliver infrastructure services to the business, and is also responsible for the management of engineering staff as well as IT Help Desk, and provides technical support for reported incidents.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manages entire technology infrastructure inclusive of network, Telecom, servers, Windows server maintenance and administration, infrastructure design and implementation and change management related to server changes, upgrades, and testing

  2. Manages procurement of hardware, equipment, software and overall asset inventory.

  3. Manages the day-to-day operations of the IT Help Desk. Ensures that the IT Help Desk and infrastructure functions are aligned with the requirements of the Technology group and business overall.

  4. Implements IT polices, processes and standards to support the Company’s internal audit and business requirements. Adheres to the goals and standards set forth by the Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

  5. Functions as a business lead and/or a project manager on departmental and/or organization wide projects. Contributes expertise in his/her assigned area, executes deliverables and ensures that the Project Team completes project deliverables as outlined based on the project scope and business requirements.

  6. Leads Infrastructure upgrade projects from both a project management and budget perspective.

  7. Works within a group of technical and business users in a dynamic / team-oriented environment to meet project milestones and objectives.

  8. Manages and communicates system changes, writes policies and procedures, and follows change management processes for troubleshooting and auditing.

  9. Manages third party vendors inclusive of data center hosting, BCP / DR and security providers.

  10. Manages the IT Infrastructure staff. Establishes performance goals and milestones, track progress, and provides ongoing coaching and feedback to staff. Fosters and facilitates a team-oriented environment.

  11. Promotes and maintains a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner consistent with professional standards to get along with members, co-workers, management and vendors.

  12. Keeps abreast of industry developments including, but not limited to changes in regulations and technology.

  13. Ensures adherence to Company policies and procedures and Banking/Credit Union Regulations.

  14. Performs additional duties as required. Scope This position works under minimal supervision exercising independent judgment. This person must be action oriented, self-motivated and creative while being highly functional.

Essential Skills, Knowledge and Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related fields.

  2. Minimum of ten years of Infrastructure experience covering, data center management, network design and configuration, storage, VMWARE virtualization technologies, Windows servers and desktops, Exchange messaging, telecom and telephony systems, ITIL standards and toolsets, and help desk ticketing systems. Prior experience in a Financial Services organization such as a Bank or Credit Union a plus.

  3. Hands on Technical knowledge in the following products: Juniper firewalls and switches, Cisco firewalls and switches, VOIP telecom / Call Center systems, EMC storage arrays, VMware, Citrix XenApp and Xendesktop technologies, SQLServer.

  4. Demonstrated technical experience and or certifications required related to Microsoft technologies, VMWARE, Citrix and EMC SAN administration

  5. Excellent problem-solving, organizational, analytical, verbal and written communication skills.

  6. Strong decision making and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects/duties.

  7. Results driven, service oriented, self-motivated and able to work independently.

  8. Trustworthy with the ability to maintain highest level of integrity and trust.

  9. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access as well as Windows desktop environments.

Environmental/Physical/Mental Requirements:

The Sr. Manager of Systems Infrastructure performs a major portion of his/her duties through verbal and written communications. It is critical that he / she possess the ability to communicate with clarity, while understanding and explaining complex situations to team members and outside contacts. Accuracy is essential and he / she must possess the ability to proof read documentation and correspondence to insure free of errors and fraud. The person will spend a good portion of the day seated at a workstation, but may also be mobile throughout the credit union for purposes of meetings, working with others, etc. Position may require lifting up to 25 pounds.
