Position Summary
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. (Other duties may be assigned.)

1. Lock Shop:

a. Operate window of lock shop; issue keys, initiate follow up when keys are not returned, accepts requests and walk-up orders for key cutting.
b. Maintain shop computerized records showing keys issued and loaned as well as records of lock keys and access to spaces.
c. Ability to manage reports and control key distribution records through KeyTrak system.
d. Perform data entry for computerized maintenance management system.
e. Assist in a range of helper level lock shop tasks such as cutting keys.
f. When snowstorms occur, the worker is a "Critical Employee" who is mandated to augment the Grounds Department in the removal of snow and the de-icing of walks and steps.

1. Must have basic understanding and ability to perform computer data entry.
2. Strong customer relations skills and sensitivity to customer needs and perceptions.
3. Valid drivers license.

The final candidate will be required to complete a background check and a post-offer pre-employment physical.

1. Will be required to handle and use toxic chemical (spray lubricants) occasionally.
2. Will be required to work in an area with light noise levels daily.
3. Will be required to stand for moderate periods.
