The CTAutomation and Control Technology Field is seeking a highly motivated PhD student available for a 3-9month internship for our Princeton, NJ location in the area ofgeometry processing. The project will involve analysis of state-of-art inacademia and industry, and design of novel practical techniques to addresschallenging problems in geometry processing. The project will includedevelopment of software prototypes to demonstrate novel techniques, anddocumentation of results through high quality technical reports suitable forpublications and patent applications .

Contributeto research projects that develop geometry processing algorithms
Fastprototyping, feasibility studies, specification and implementation of geometryprocessing techniques
Apply geometry processing techniques to real-world problems
Helpadvance the state-of-the-art in the field, including generating patents andpublications in top journals and conferences
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
CurrentPhD student in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or related disciplinefor research.
Hands-on coding skills and ability to quickly prototype in C++ and Python.
Familiarity with CAD softwaresystems (NX) and modeling kernels (Parasolid).
Solid theoretical knowledge of geometry representations in design.
Showpassion for technologies with a can-do attitude. Outstandingcollaboration, interpersonal and communication (verbal & written) skills inEnglish is required.

Team player who can also be independent,prioritize work and thrives in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
