Global EPC Construction

The Global EPC Team is entrenched within Vestas' Global Construction department and is responsible for the preliminary design and estimation of Balance of Plant works (Civil and Electrical) of wind farms which are considered for EPC (Engineer, Procure and Construct) Contracts.


  • Basic Design and Engineering of Civil Works required for a Wind Farm. Execute the preliminary design and engineering for the wind farm Roads, Crane Pads, Hardstands and CableTrenches in collaboration with the team draftsman. This includes layout drawings, cross-sectional detail, drainage detail, calculation of earthworks quantities as well as the relevant technical requirements for each design element.

  • Prepare the Request for Quotation to the Subcontractors, including the Civil Works Basic Engineering to the client's requirements. Respond to the Subcontractors technical queries and evaluate subcontractor's offers. Prepare the technical and commercial proposals for inclusion in client tenders, based on the evaluated subcontractor's offers.

  • Participate in negotiations and/or contract clarifications with clients and/or subcontractors on all topics related to the wind farm Civil Works.

  • Provide technical support to the Sales and Sourcing departments including the preparation of technical schedule for inclusion in contracts.

  • Supervision/review of the Detail Engineering of the Civil Works as outsourced from time to time.

  • Provide technical support to Vestas' Construction Team during the procurement and construction of the works.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Master's degree in Civil Engineering with specialization in Transportation Engineering (roads)

  • 3-4 years of experience in road design and tendering process, preferably in wind energy projects.

  • Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Plex Earth, and AutoTurn software

  • Candidates with experience in bridges, geotechnics, wind turbine foundations, and wind farm construction preferred.

  • Fluent in English language
