· Conduct supplier cost analysis to support Purchasing activity for current and future sourcing (e.g. price negotiations, material cost performance improvements, target setting, and threat avoidance)

· Conduct supplier audits to confirm supplier compliance with all cost related aspects of a quote and/or business award

· Conduct cost benchmarking activities across multiple suppliers and across programs to identify gaps and cost savings opportunities

2. * Leading continuous improvement and cost reduction activities (productivity) over the product lifecycle.*

· Utilize cost models to benchmark (“read across”) cost drivers across multiple suppliers to identify opportunities for cost structure improvements for each

· Conduct on-site workshops with suppliers if needed, to develop improvement plans to address read-across opportunities identified

· Identify the performance improvement tools (e.g. cost benchmarking, value analysis, material value chain, and lean manufacturing concepts) that are most appropriate for a particular supplier and apply them accordingly
