Role Summary

Global Transmission and Electrification New Products Group is responsible for new transmissions and electrification drive units. The system architecture technical specialist will be part of the team designing these products from BA through PPDR. The TS will lead the system PDT which is responsible for lube, cooling, oil management, fluid selection, FE and NVH.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead System PDT in New Products Group.

a.System PDT is responsible for lube, cooling, oil management, fluid selection, FE and NVH for new transmission and hybrid drive units (BA phase through Beta PPDR)

  1. High level of collaboration with PMT’s and program team
  2. Conduct trade off studies on design options

  3. Meet critical program milestones (POE, GPDP, and GVDP)

  4. Develop and maintain system BODs
  5. Lead and maintain technical expertise for transmission system architecture
  6. Lead design reviews of new products
  7. Provide technical direction to current product system issues

7.Provide training, guidance, and assistance to engineers on the team

8.Lead DFSS projects and DFMEAs
