Basic Job Description:

  • Develop, validate and evaluate new test techniques and facilities as required to meet product development/validation test programs and special projects
  • Validate and evaluate test techniques and facilities for accuracy, reliability, repeatability, and correlation to actual service requirements
  • Co-develop test plans, test techniques and test procedures to upgrade the capability of the lab
  • Coordinate all project activity with the laboratory supervisor to assure maximum utilization of personnel and equipment
  • Coordinate development and execution of product validation plans with the appropriate product engineering staff
  • Be aware of new practices, procedures, and materials and evaluate them regularly for application in our facilities
  • Manage several projects in various states of execution (plan, design, build/setup, test development, operation, inspection, and teardown)
  • Prioritize test schedules based on requirements, capability & capacity

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience

Minimum three years of engineering experience in related area

Self-directed and motivated individual that excels at managing multiple diverse projects

Test fixture design experience

Strong Instrumentation background

Background in Engine Coolant Flow and Engine/Transmission Pump Development

Data Processing Skills

Strong Written and Oral Communication Skills

Excels working in a team environment

Ability to interpret engineering drawings (GD&T)

Analytical ability where problems are complex

Ability to multitask and work well under rigorous timing deadlines

Time Management skills
