This position is responsible for performing activities related to quality, maintenance of documentation, product release, receiving inspection and independent completion of projects including test protocols and reports with little or no supervision. Practice Quality System procedures.
Perform quality assurance activities as assigned including receiving, inspection, and QA testing. Nonessential Functions: Desirable, but not necessary, aspects of the job.
Assist engineers by optimizing new manufacturing inspection processes and assisting in quality training of new lines and personnel.
Assist in generating and updating ECO documentation.
Accountable for inspection planning, calibration, inspection, supplier quality, approve product documents, participate in quality improvement teams.
Other responsibilities as assigned.
Knowledge and Experience
Technical degree or 2+ years equivalent experience
Background in Automated Vision System Programming, Micro-Vu Systems a plus
GD&T certification preferred
Six Sigma or ASQ certifications preferred
Understand quality system terminology and requirements
Apply mathematical and statistical practices
Create professional documentation
Plan and organize own workload, able to multitask
Solve problems with minimal direction
Communicate effectively within the organization, in addition to customers and suppliers
Work cooperatively with other employees
