Summary of Responsibilities:

Ellie Mae is a provider of enterprise on-demand solutions, including an online network, software and services for the residential mortgage industry. We are leading the mortgage industry into the future, developing and marketing software solutions that are transforming how mortgage lenders, investors, and settlement service providers work—and work together. We are expanding our development teams and seeking to hire new software developers to participate in design, development, and enhancement of new products and maintenance of existing products.

Primary Responsibilities & Objectives:

  • Contribute to the design and development of new features using modern web technologies such as jQuery, AngularJS, HTML5, CSS3, LESS, Bootstrap

  • Introduce design patterns to aid in development

  • Participate in peer code reviews to ensure consistency

Role Specific Skills:

  • Solid front-end development using JavaScript with experience using libraries like JQuery and frameworks like Backbone, Angular or Knockout.

  • Solid UI development experience and familiarity using HTML5 and a CSS3 frameworks such as Bootstrap

  • Advanced understanding of AJAX frameworks, REST and JSON

Strong understanding of front-end optimization techniques

  • Must be able to deliver high quality code on schedule, communicate and collaborate with groups in and outside the development team.

  • Unit testing framework experience with jasmine, karma or similar

  • Knowledge of cross-browser compatibility issues

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Computer Science degree or equivalent from a fully-accredited college or university.

  • Ability to write modular and maintainable code

  • Familiar with Agile methodologies

  • Ability to communicate clearly on technical topics

  • Written communication skills including the ability to explain technical issues to a non-technical audience
