_Job Description:_ Reporting to the Trauma Program Director and working in conjunction with both the Trauma Director and the Trauma Medical Director, the Trauma Education and Performance Improvement (PI) Coordinator assists in providing quality care to an assigned group of patients. He or she is responsible for planning, designing, delivering and evaluation of education activities to meet the trauma related needs of all departments. The Trauma Coordinator participates in performance improvement activities as directed. This individual is responsible for meeting State of Florida Trauma Center Standards as well as JC standards, complying with all state and federal regulations, complying with corporate and hospital policy and procedures, as well as promoting teamwork and positive customer service.

_Qualifications: _ * Must have a Florida Registered Nurse license * Bachelors in Nursing Degree * ACLS, PALS, BCLS, TNCC * TNCC Instructor preferred or obtained within period set by Trauma Director * CEN, CCRN, TNS or CNOR certifications strongly preferred * 3-5 years nursing experience required in a trauma setting * Ability to work flexible hours * Self-directed and independent * Teaching skills applicable to patient and staff education * Computer literacy * Understands and demonstrates cost effective nursing practices * Strong clinical assessment skills * Ability to train others * Good communication skills
