HCA, Hospital Corporation of America Market Director,Supply Chain Operations in Plantation, Florida
We are currently looking for a seasoned Supply Chain Market Director to lead supply chain services in Broward County hospitals in the East Florida Division. The Market Supply Chain Director will be based at Westside Regional Medical Center and will be responsible for leading, implementing, measuring, and directing all supply chain operations within assigned facilities.. The Market hospitals provide a full spectrum of state-of-the-art advanced medical procedures in a very competitive South Florida healthcare environment. The Market Director is also responsible for use of the Parallon proprietary SMART computer system, GHX and Opti-Scan computer systems. The Director will implement and manage Supply Chain services in the Operating Room as well as performing other duties specified by the Supply Chain Officer/COO. East Florida Division hospitals have the lowest supply expense/adjusted admission (SE/AA) and have very successful cost reduction programs in place through Supply Management Action Teams (SMAT), Division Contracting and Pharmacy Services initiatives. This individual will also administer the ongoing Broward County Market RFID Asset Tracking Program pilot, and will work with hospital, supply chain, division leadership and Agility/GE to develop P&P’s, workflows, etc.
DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: * May be responsible for ensuring consistent operations of warehouse, transportation and distribution. * Lead and manage Supply Chain activities for market facilities Manage the profit and loss of the Supply Chain operations for market facilities * Execute the infrastructure project plan for the facility. This includes the implementation of the standardization programs for all supply chain functions, SMART cleanup, master file standardization, online requisitioning, and EDI * Facilitate the implementation of market based purchasing projects at the facility * Execute the implementation and operational plan for all of the point of use systems * Coordinate, manage, and evaluate facility Supply Chain director or manager * Create a supportive environment for supply chain staff development and the delivery of supply chain solutions * Raise and resolve facility based supply chain issues and improvement opportunities * Coordinate and drive efforts to enable supply improvement initiatives (SII) to succeed within the market * Facilitate the standardization of products and optimize supply utilization through effective collaboration with physicians and clinicians within market * Manage the market implementation plan, identify and mitigate risks (leverage lessons learned, utilize proactive communication techniques), and monitor resource allocations to ensure successful execution of plan * Execute the Supply Chain Performance Measurement plan in the market and report these results to the Supply Chain Officer in an accurate and timely manner * Execute a continuous improvement program for supply chain functions * Ensure useful knowledge is captured and promote sharing of information * Authorized to transport and deliver legend drugs, non-prescription drugs, contrast media and drugcontaining devices relative to core competencies of the position * Perform other duties as assigned * Practice and adhere to the “Code of Conduct” philosophy and “Mission and Value Statement”

EDUCATION * Bachelors degree in Business Management, Healthcare Administration, Finance, or similar is preferred EXPERIENCE * Minimum of 3 years hospital management experience required * Multi-facility experience preferred PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS – Requires prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping and stretching. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator and other office equipment. Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare and communicate appropriate reports. Requireslifting papers or boxes up to 50 pounds occasionally. Work is performed in an office environment. Work may be stressful at times. Contact may involve dealing with angry or upset people. Some travel may be required. Staff must remain flexible and available to provide staffing assistance for any/all disaster or emergency situations.
