Join us now as we are seeking a Post Doctoral Fellow to join our Neurometabolism Laboratory at Barrown Neurological Institute at St Jospeh's Hospital and Medical Center. Conducts research in disciplines of study in Molecular Biology, Neurochemistry, Motor Systems, Trauma, Neurosurgery, Neurodegeneration or Neuropathology under the direction and in collaboration with a faculty members.
We are interested in an energetic and creative scientist whose research can be synergized with major institutional strengths in the multidisciplinary studies of basic and molecular mechanisms underlying dietary treatments for epilepsy and neuroinflammation. Our studies will seek to unravel the epigenetic mechanisms governing metabolic sensors and mitochondrial function following metabolic alteration, providing scientific rationales for future therapeutic strategies to prevent and treat epilepsy and neuroinflammation. Doctoral degree, Ph.D., D.Sc., M.D. Ability to conceive new/innovative ideas or solutions with good logic and problem solving skills; ability to communicate, write, advise and counsel on extremely complex and technical matters; knowledge of operating required lab equipment and minor surgical procedures as required.
