POSITION SUMMARY

To find new and cultivate Strategic Partner relationships with effective strategy, certification and business solutions that will allow Aetna Individual Medicare products to achieve positive sales results.

Fundamental Components:Works with Senior Director of Strategic Distribution and national sales directors and existing regional strategic partners with a focus on business development and bringing effective new partners to AetnaOptimizes the sales capability and effectiveness of potential and new strategic distribution partners and channels, with best practice insights and applicationsWorks with Aetna markets and regions to align employer, retail partner, funding, channel and partner goals to optimize sales efforts against goalMarshals appropriate resources and processes to effectively implement new strategies and products in collaboration with managing National Sales DirectorServes as the expert for multiple distribution channel business development relationships, maintaining awareness of industry, company, competitor, legislative and regulatory activities Articulates business strategies to distribution partners through frequent presentations and annual strategic sales plan to obtain commitment Works with distribution partners to secure contract, appropriate audits and onboarding, as appropriateMay oversee and/or coordinate work with staff outside own area to ensure effective execution of distribution channel objectives, such as account managers, legal, marketing and compliance Ensures all contractual, compliance and legal obligations related to distribution are met in a timely manner Maintains and communicates status of each partner in a timely manner, with reports and key developments and items produced as appropriate for all levels of managementAchieves or exceeds sales goal annuallyBACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE desired:Five or more years of sales and/or sales leadership experience in healthcare (broker, carrier or service side)Demonstrated healthcare business development experience from prospecting to productionMedicare requiredActive life and health license requiredEDUCATION

The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
