HOURS: Full time

STARTING DATE: ASAP

STARTING PAY: Commensurate with experience

REPORTS TO: Facilities Manager

Purpose of this Position: The Janitor will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing clinics, offices, meeting rooms, bathrooms, and public areas at Valley Family Health Care.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Has working knowledge of cleaning equipment and cleaning supplies.

2. Is self-motivated and able to accomplish tasks with minimal supervision.

3. Must have a valid driver's license and a good driving record.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Keeps clinics neat, clean and safe. Keeps bathrooms well stocked and clean.

Daily:

1.Vacuum and spot clean all obvious dirt on carpet.

2.Mop linoleum, spot clean where necessary.

3.Clean and disinfect all toilets and sinks.

4.Empty all trash cans (except red containers and bags).

5.Clean all mirrors.

6.Spot clean obvious soil on walls and upholstered chairs.

7.Dust and wipe down all counter tops.

8.Clean glass (doors and windows) in entry way and reception areas.

9.Pick up obvious trash from parking lot if time allows.

10.Stock bathrooms with toilet paper, paper towels and soap.

11.Replace light bulbs when necessary.

12.Transport mail and supplies between clinics.

Weekly:

1.Wipe down cobwebs in hallways, offices, exam rooms and waiting rooms.

2.Vacuum upholstered chairs.

3.Clean Lego table (where applicable)

4.Clean all garbage cans.

5.Wipe down all window sills inside and out.

6.Wipe down cobwebs on building exterior.

7.Dust blinds.

Monthly:

1.Clean all vents.

2.Wash windows outside/inside when weather permits

3.Wash/spray building exterior when weather permits.

As needed:

1.Strip and wax linoleum.

2.Other duties as directed by supervisor.

3.Clean all garbage cans.

Quality Improvement:

Participates in improving VFHC performance, processes, or programs through quality improvement which will be demonstrated in at least one instance annually.

Physical Requirements:

1. Able to lift, push and pull up to 25 lbs.

2. Standing, walking, bending/stooping frequently.

3. Crouching, kneeling, crawling.

4. Climbing and balancing.

5. Reaching overhead, straight ahead and downward.

6. Continuous twisting.

7. Correctable vision and hearing.

8. Able to safely climb a ladder.
