Kratos Technology & Training Solutions Vice President, Business Development in Orlando, Florida

Job Description:

The Vice President of Business Development is responsible for implementing the strategic plan and development of all Kratos Training Solutions Groups sales, marketing coordination, Bid and Proposal and all other business development activities, including market competitiveness, pricing, and strategy. Additionally, the Vice President of Business Development has primary responsibility for seeking, identifying, qualifying, and closing new business opportunities for Kratos Training Solutions Group, expanding business with current Kratos clients, and aligning all business opportunities with Kratos Training Solutions strategic objectives and goals. The Vice President, Business Development will manage the business development department and will also utilize other corporate assets in support of the identification and development of new business opportunities. The Vice President, Business Development will develop, influence and shape the market strategy to support growth targets by expanding market share and building upon existing programs, products and business lines.

Experience and Skills:

Bachelors in Marketing or Systems Management or related field.

10 years in managing business development activities to include marketing, sales, bid and proposals in Simulation and Training industry. Direct company exp in Foreign Military Sales and Direct Commercial sales on a worldwide basis. Must have held a VP position within past 5 years.

Minimum of 15 years in the Simulation and Training industry in a related capacity. Min of 20 years working in the DoD

Industry in a military or civilian capacity.

  • Secret Clearance (Active or can be activated as required)

  • Experience leading successful opportunity captures of $50M and above

  • Management experience including generation of corporate business development plans and strategies, specific penetration strategies and leading and developing capture teams.

  • Candidate must have successful past performance in the management of proposal activities and proposal teams for opportunities in offered by Department of Defense (DoD) sectors.

  • Candidate must have the capability of updating and maintaining the business development process (e.g. developing customer relationships, account strategies, developing a qualified pipeline, building industry relationships, and leading capture & proposal activities) to ensure meeting set objectives and goals.

  • Must possess a knowledge and understanding of the DoD budgeting and Acquisition process.

  • Must be capable managing a department budget

  • United State Citizenship

Preferred -

  • **Advanced Degree preferred - MBA, Marketing or Systems Management a plus
  • Experience Leading Large Captures of $100M or more
