Job Description Summary The selected candidate will be required to work in a team environment with other co-workers and managers driving deliveries in a Mack or Sterling dump truck, operating other quarry equipment, and assisting in quarry, scale-house and or QC operations within the Quarry.

  • Must have valid Class B CDL license for capability to make dump truck deliveries.

  • Must be willing and able to be trained to run, on a limited basis, loaders, haul trucks, help in the scale house or aggregate plant.

  • May be used on a limited basis to help maintenance efforts of plant or delivery equipment.

  • Must be able to climb stairs/ladders with or without accommodation.

  • May use tools such as sledge hammer, wrench, screwdriver, cutting torch, welder, pneumatic hammer/drill, sand blaster, pipe wrench.

  • Properly follow all company policies and OSHA/MSHA regulations for safe working procedures and environment.

  • Follow directions of Foreman as to daily tasks and expectations for each specific project or jobsite.

  • Perform daily pre-and-post inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with company policies.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Work Requirements The ideal candidate will:

  • Pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.

  • Pass a pre-employment “Fit for Work” physical.

  • Be able to provide valid documentation for the I-9 Immigration document.

  • Display a professional, and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors and the general public at all times.

  • Report to work at the designated start time and maintain acceptable attendance according to the policy.

  • Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required (on a limited basis).

  • Be able to work weekends and or overtime when needed (on a limited basis).

  • Be able to work overtime when required.

  • Be able to work outdoors in extreme temperatures, both hot and cold.

  • Must be able to regularly and daily climb, stoop, bend, squat, lift, stretch, push, pull, twist, kneel, stand, walk, sit, and reach. May be exposed to vibration. Requires occasional lifting of up to 75 Ibs. with or without assistance.

  • Strictly adhere to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.

  • Have the willingness to work in a team environment and assist co–workers or supervisors with other duties as required.

  • Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated operations and production areas as stated by OSHA and / or MSHA.

  • Be at least age 18 years of age due to nature of working environment.


  • Minimum high school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.

  • Previous related experience in construction field is preferred, but not required

  • Class B CDL required.
