Plans and delivers nutrition care for patients in accordance with the physician’s diagnoses and requirements of regulatory agencies. Functions as a member of the multi-disciplinary health care team to screen newly admitted patients to identify those at nutritional risk. Develops orientation, continuing education, knowledge and skills as appropriate for patients of any age, including the neonate, child, adolescent and geriatric patient plus the terminally ill patient.
A. Licensure/Certification/Registration: Registry-eligible or Registered dietitian status with the Commission in Dietetic Registration and the American Dietetic Association. (If Registry-eligible, must take next scheduled test. If fails first test, must pass second test to remain in position.)
Certified Dietitian status in the state of Utah.
B. Education: Bachelors in dietetics, nutrition, or nutrition related field. Degree must be obtained through an accredited institution. Education is verified. Successful completion of an approved Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) internship. Food handler's permit. C. Experience: At least one year clinical experience preferred
