Engages in maintaining and repairing physical structures of buildings, as well as keeping the facilities in the best possible condition by performing the essential duties of the position as discussed below.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Inspect and maintain buildings and facilities on a regular basis.
Perform minor electrical and plumbing repair and maintenance.
Inspect alarm systems including fire and protection and schedule repairs/testing when needed.
Conduct general upkeep procedures, repairs and other tasks as assigned such as painting, carpentry, etc.
Furniture movement, employee area setup, department redesigns.
Cleaning and Trash Removal.
Generator, heating and air conditioning maintenance.
Troubleshoot and repair most major systems.
Maintain and operate company vehicles and equipment.
Perform snow removal and parking lot maintenance.
Assist the Marketing department for trade show setup, tear down, shipments and tracking of equipment.
Assist the Accounting department with the tracking and movement of company assets.
High School diploma or equivalent, one to three months related experience and/or training preferred.
Knowledge of general maintenance process and methods.
Working knowledge of tools and devices.
Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills.
Good physical condition and strength. Willingness to work on an emergency basis during the winter for snow removal.
Self-motivated and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Basic computer skills and strong written/oral communication are required.
Ability to function effectively in customer service atmosphere.
Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the job. Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally life and/or move up to 100 pounds.
