Lakeland Bank Call Center Financial Service Provider in Oak Ridge, New Jersey

  • Must possess excellent customer service skills and at least six months of verifiable sales experience

  • Willingness to cross-sell the bank's various products and services and make referrals to internal business partners

  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact with all levels of customers, external and internal to the bank

  • Must have solid PC skills and a working knowledge of Microsoft Word

  • Microsoft Excel is a plus

  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment while maintaining a positive, professional demeanor at all times

  • Must be responsible, reliable, and dependable in work and attendance, and willing to function as a team member in addition to being a self starter

  • Must have the ability to be coached for performance and consistently demonstrate patience

  • Branch and/or customer service/sales experience would be a plus

  • Must be eligible to register with NMLS (Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System & Registry)

  • Must be bondable

  • Handle a high volume of customer calls in a professional manner with an enthusiastic and positive attitude

  • Effectively and efficiently come to resolution of customer's problem or inquiry

  • Assess cross-selling opportunities to meet customer needs and offer products based on that assessment

  • Requires learning deposit systems and processes and related functions, i.e., input to and extract information from the bank's computer system, research account problems, etc.

  • Requires learning some bank lending functions (personal loans, auto loans, home equity lines, first mortgages, etc., non-traditional banking products and services and applicable disclosure statements

  • Make outbound calls to set up appointments with business prospects on behalf of branch managers and line of business partners

  • Other duties as required
