This job was posted by https://illinoisjoblink.illinois.gov : For more information, please see: https://illinoisjoblink.illinois.gov/ada/r/jobs/4981007 JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for maintaining tariffs in Hub's operating system necessary for optimal deployment of transportation equipment and for appropriate compensation of major rail carriers per Hub's contractual obligations.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:


+ Monitor fleet performance and adherence to external agreements with major U.S. Railroads


+ Contribute to the expansion of Hub's private fleet volume throughout the United States, Mexico and Canada by utilizing analysis, negotiations, and implementation of railroad rates and quotes


+ Ensure fleet rates are competitive and market-based


+ Conduct quarterly and annual contractual review in accordance with external agreements


+ Create, maintain, and validate all proper fleet routings and fleet linehaul amounts in Hub's Transaction Processing System


+ Provide railroads with reports


+ Identify and address internal operational problems and routes with fleet equipment


+ Communicate effectively with railroads to ensure accurate fleet quotes and related documentation


+ Develop and maintain processes to ensure accurate data within Hub's Transaction Processing System


+ Assist Management with miscellaneous projects, as assigned


+ Undergraduate Degree from an accredited college or university with concentration in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Accounting, or Economics required


+ Proficient with computer software, specifically MS Excel and MS Access required. Programming skills (SQL) preferred


+ Ability to pay attention to detail and quality is required


+ Excellent analytical, organizational, and mathematical skills


+ Ability to work methodically and multi-task in a fast-paced environment while providing accurate data


+ Strong interpersonal skills with ability to communicate and interface effectively with all levels of personnel, customers, and vendors
