Teradyne Technical Writer in North Reading, Massachusetts
Duties & Responsibilities:
Do you want to be part of an exciting and dynamic team where you get the chance to work with both hardware and software engineers? Our Technical Writers create end-user technical documentation that is integrated into the software for our systems and instrumentation. Your responsibilities will include:
Working collaboratively as part of a cross-functional team to organize and develop hardware and software documentation.
Ensuring the technical accuracy of content while adhering to proper use of brand, voice, and style.
Ensuring proper spelling, grammar, sentence structure, and punctuation.
Working with software, hardware, and mechanical engineers to proactively gather required information.
Performing software installation and verification of documentation on release candidates to ensure compatibility with specified operating systems as well as validate integration both internally and with other installed help files.
Working closely with other Technical Writers to develop and maintain department-specific processes and procedures.

Basic Qualifications, Experience, Skills & Education Required:
Experience performing technical writing in an ATE or other hardware-based high-tech environment
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, must be a team player
Experience developing modular, reusable content for complex help systems
Strong proactive documentation project management capabilities:
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with flexibility and a can-do attitude
Lead cross-functional team during the documentation review process
Keen attention to detail with a high regard for quality, efficiency, and processes
Minimal understanding of C, C++, and/or C# .NET
HTML and XML
Experience with source control software
