We are seeking an Inside Sales Representative to perform the following:

  1. Responsible for driving sales for customers who come into the branch and/or call into the branch.
  2. For customers who come into the branch and/or call into the branch with sales opportunities: Assist customers in developing L&W solutions to their problems; Assist customers in purchasing complimentary and/or higher margin dollar products (i.e. up sell and cross sell); Discuss features and benefits of products and services; Establish rapport with customers; Establish relationships with repeat customers; Highlight new and/or promotional products and services; Solicit feedback from customers on products and services.

  3. Coordinate delivery requests with dispatch – Gather required information from Customer to assist Dispatcher in scheduling the delivery to be executed in an efficient and profitable manner.

  4. Assist with developing in-branch sales plan and strategy.
  5. Assist with design and execution of merchandising strategy.
  6. Answer in-coming phone calls and emails and proactively resolve: Customer requests for information; Basic to moderate customer issues requiring problem solving; Complex customer issues by contacting or forwarding customer to the correct resource.

  7. High school degree or equivalent required.

  8. At least 1 year of retail sales experience or L&W branch experience. Knowledge of merchandising techniques and best practices.
  9. Sales skills: establishing rapport, determining customer needs, creating and presenting solutions, and closing sales (including follow-up items).

  10. Knowledge of basic math skills to calculate square footage and ability to understand how to apply markups to achieve desired margins.

  11. Knowledge about L&W’s products, uses, features and benefits. Experience with L&W customers, products and/or operating platform. Understanding of the construction industry and/or construction process.
  12. Computer literate, and proficiency in common programs such as Microsoft Word and Excel.

  13. Bi-Lingual speaking ability in Spanish is preferred.
