Job Title: Senior Agile Coach Consultant

Essential Duties:

Senior Agile Coach

  • The Senior Agile Coach will report to the Agile Practice Execution Lead within Commercial Insurance Technology.

  • This role will be responsible for coaching and enabling the Application Delivery development teams. The Senior Agile Coach role will help to enable a culture of continuous improvement within Application Delivery, with the common goal to deliver valuable technology solutions rapidly and meaningfully to business partners.

  • This coaching and agile best practices role will support the organization’s goals through the following key

Job Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate appreciation of the depths of agile practices and principles and helps the teams appreciate them.

  • Articulate and help leaders at all levels of the organization, both business and technology, to understand the benefits of working agile.

  • Coach and mentor others. Support and train team members to optimize their absorption of agile and internalize the methodology.

  • Enable development of self-sustaining agile teams.

  • Drive organizational change, in addition to agile best practices and capabilities within the team, enabling the team to adopt and take ownership of their individual roles.

  • Support team cohesiveness and enable Scrum Master, Product Owner and other roles to effectively perform their roles.

  • Help support agile tool adoption and consistent utilization, in partnership with the Tools & Process Engineering team.

  • Ensure consistency across the teams, in collaboration with Transformation Partner and Application Delivery leaders.

  • Raise issues and drive change to remove impediments from the teams

  • 10+ years technology experience, with at least 5+ years direct experience in Agile Transformation Delivery and Coaching

  • Experience with CA Agile Central (Rally) Software, Kanban and Lean highly preferable

  • Experience performing these roles in the insurance/financial services industry, in a multi-national organization highly preferable

  • Certified Scrum Master / Scrum Practitioner highly preferable

  • Knowledge of the software development life cycle

  • Has faced difficult challenges, organizational impediments, and has become a coach to managers and other outsiders in the course of addressing them

  • Passionate about communication, group dynamics and coaching others

  • Strong collaboration and influencing skills; Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships

  • Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) SPC4 Certified
