IEC Electronics Process Technician in Newark, New York

Responsible for providing guidance to the design, development, troubleshooting and optimization of manufacturing and supporting processes.

** ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Routinely perform moderately-complex to complex processes, experiments and practices according to standard operating procedures. Perform time studies, data collection and machine setup and adjustment. Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment. Set up and operate equipment, as needed. Assist or participate in other manufacturing operations, as needed. Responsible for internal support operations, recognizing and reporting malfunctions and making necessary adjustments to equipment and processes as needed. Required to know, comprehend and develop process step details. Train staff on equipment, procedures or product build guidelines, as needed. Respond efficiently to both internal and external customers. Keep in line with company accredited certifications and safety policy.

** REQUIRES: Associates Degree in Engineering or equivalent discipline and be working towards a Bachelor Degree in Engineering. Basic Microsoft Windows Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills.

Computer Skills:
Basic Word for Windows skills as evidenced by the ability to produce basic business letters and simple tables and charts; as well as check spelling, set tabs, change page orientation, sort, save, open and organize electronic files.
Basic Excel skills as evidenced by the ability to use workbooks, create simple formulas, insert and delete data, create and edit charts, filter and sort lists, and format data.
Basic Microsoft Powerpoint skills as evidenced by the ability to create and save a presentation, add titles, edit and delete slides, reordering slides, applying slide masters, checking spelling, and adding clip art.

Physical Activity Requirements
Work Environment: Manufacturing environment where the noise level is generally moderately noisy
Work Position: Combination of sitting and standing
Body Movements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to stand, walk, sit, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
Weight Requirements: Must be able to lift at least 40 lbs
