EAC Network seeks a Case Manager to work full time for its Queens Misdemeanor Treatment Court Expansion (CEP) program located Queens, NY. The Case Manager is responsible for assessment and referral of alcohol/substance-addicted clients involved in criminal justice system into appropriate treatment programs, and management of a caseload. Position is Monday-Friday 9:00AM-5:00PM with excellent benefits medical/dental/401K and very generous Paid Time Off plan (PTO). RESPONSIBILITIES:  Conduct assessment interviews and arrange for client to be placed into appropriate treatment program and interventions.  Maintain complete client records and have available for inspection by Supervision at any time.  Prepare and present written and oral status reports to the criminal justice system in a timely manner regarding client's progress. Investigate and arrange supportive services for clients.   Conduct groups and behavioral interventions.  Transport or escort clients to treatment facilities when indicated.  Maintain a caseload of drug/alcohol-abusing offenders.  Make monthly site visits to all treatment agencies assigned to caseload.

QUALIFICATIONS:  Bachelor's Degree in social or behavioral sciences required, and two years’ experience in either substance abuse or criminal justice.  Working knowledge of treatment programs and local criminal justice system preferred.  Good communication skills, both oral and written. Ability to work cooperatively with treatment and criminal justice systems.  Must be proficient in computer applications or other automated systems such as spreadsheets, Microsoft Office applications, calendar, and email and/or database software necessary to preform work assignments.
