Archcare Senior Enterprise Phone System Engineer in New York, New York
The Senior Enterprise Phone System Engineer role is to ensure the stability and integrity of in-house voice, communiations, call center, voice recording, call accounting and system integrity. This is achieved by planning, designing, and developing the phone system network across local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs) across the organization. This includes building in redundancy an reseliancy into the network. In addition, the Senior Enterprise Phone System Engineer will participate with the installation, monitoring, maintenance, standardization, support, and optimization of all phone system hardware, software, and communication links. This individual will analyze and resolve hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end user training and assistance where required. In addition, to phone hardware and software, this role needs to be knowledgable in networking both LAN and WAN to ensure optimum connectivity of all communications. Lastly, this role must have experience in building and supporting servers and all components of licensing, software and operating systems.
Report to the SVP/CIO on assigned activities, established reporting indicators, and pending initiatives as required.
Perform technical support of application automation with the SVDP/CIO leadership, support, and approval. Plan, analyze, design, install and support all technological systems as it relates to phones..
Standardize the system technology by participating in the discussions and planning of the network(s) necessary to support all phone system applications, including all interfaces and enhancements
Ensure HIPAA Security best practices and compliance
Implement the system-wide design to achieve efficiencies and integration of service
Ensure the operational integrity of all technological systems as it relates to phones. Including all necessary operating system upgrades, patches, and preventative maintenance
Maintain databases, network diagrams, and other required information and reports.
Participate in multi-disciplinary committee meetings related to automation projects
Formal Education: Bachelor's Degree Preferred
Experience: 5 years
License, Registration, and / or Certification Requirement: No
Bachelor’s Degree preferred
A minimum of 5 years hands-on experience as a Phone System Engineer
Relevant experience with Avaya’s Nortel Product line is a must. .
Healthcare experience preferred.
Relevant experience with Mitel Phone systems (in addition to Nortel) is a plus.
