Wells Fargo Head of Core Risk Technologies CMTM2 in New York, New York

This leader will deliver technology systems and toolkits for cross asset risk computation to be leveraged by our asset class-aligned technology teams. This leader will also recruit, mentor and develop talent by setting appropriate goals and expectations for the team. Provide technology solutions, through applications design & development, to complex problems that require both in depth knowledge of capital markets domain and strong technical expertise. Partner with front office quants to design and implement next generation risk systems in line with developments in calculation libraries. Directly responsible for full project life cycle including planning, development and testing. Primary point person to peer groups and customers for effective communication on systems and projects within area of responsibility. Partner with technology peers to lower operating costs through leverage / re-use. Design and develop applications, tools and processes to ensure superior reliability and supportability.

Required Qualifications:

  • 12+ years of application development and implementation experience

  • 8+ years of securities market industry experience, capital markets industry experience, or a combination of both

  • 7+ years of management experience

Desired Qualifications:

  • Advanced experience in capital markets business and processes

  • Basic knowledge and understanding of mathematical modeling

  • Basic knowledge and understanding of SEC, FNRA, and international regulations for building technological solutions
