Position Summary:

In collaboration with the School of Law's Dean and senior development leadership, manage a multimillion dollar annual fundraising target targeting donors with the highest giving potential. Consult with the Dean's Office, Communications department, Development and Alumni Relations teams, and other departments to develop marketing, event-planning, and communication strategies. Ensure completion of development-related tasks including creation of electronic and printed publicity materials and communications, and the planning of meetings and events. In collaboration with various departments write and edit publicity components. Manage the Dean of the law school’s development pipeline, scheduling 15-20 monthly visits with high net worth graduates and friends. Work closely with the senior leadership of the law school to execute the various responsibilities associated with major capital campaigns and issue specific fundraising projects.


Required Education:
Bachelor's degree.

Preferred Education:
Master's degree.

Required Experience:
3 years relevant professional level experience, including experience in interacting with important donors, and writing or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Experience:
Experience in a fast-paced academic or nonprofit academic environment, especially in development or public relations.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Demonstrated organizational, writing, and event management skills. Proven ability to problem solve, adapt quickly, and deal with highly charged situations and individuals sensitively.
