JOB REQUIREMENTS: Assumes technical product ownership of locally manufactured product variants of ACS2000. Defines the schedule for global product releases together with Product Management and the Global Product Coordinator and supervises the local implementation of engineering changes. Responsible for product cost including cost follow up, continuing cost cut activities and localization of components. Coordinate with Global Product Coordinator to plan and schedule for product releases Direct the efficient utilization of staff and resources in order to cost-effectively meet commitments while ensuring customer satisfaction. Oversee progress and implement corrective/preventative actions, as necessary to achieve objectives. Plan and establish work schedules considering internal and external customer requirements, priorities and availability of resources. Assign work consistent with skills of staff in order to cost-effectively achieve objectives, ensure quality, reliability and customer satisfaction. Monitor progress of work and ensure compliance with quality, schedule and cost commitments. Investigate problems and initiate effective measures for their solution and prevention. Coordinate activities with global product coordinator and product manager and, as warranted, modify schedules to most efficiently achieve objectives with local team the local implementation. Assume product engineering / design-engineering responsibility for a product line throughout the end of the R&D product development cycle. Interface with agencies like UL, CSA, etc. to maintain and expand third party approvals as necessary; participate in approval agency inspections and resolve variances and implement corrective action as required to maintain applicable approvals. Directly support customers over the phone or through written correspondence. Participate in customer meetings. Process owner and co-coordinator for pilot and ECN/ECO process. Assume design-engineering responsibility for a product line at the end of the product development cycle. Technical authority for MRB disposition of materials, resolving CCRPs related to design of the assigned product line. Participate on cross-functional teams to ensure the continuous, on going improvement of methods, processes, productivity and quality, while reducing costs. Write and maintain company procedures as assigned by company management. Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations. Maintain departmental housekeeping standards.
