Belmont University Transfer & International Student Admissions Counselor in Nashville, Tennessee
Responsible for admissions counseling, recruiting, and general office duties for a range of international and domestic applicants including transfers, international transfer and freshmen students and second-degree candidates. Evaluation of preliminary transferability of credit will be required. Provide leadership to other process improvement teams as necessary.
Maintain an in-depth knowledge of the academic, social, and spiritual composition of Belmont University in order to perpetuate the Belmont vision.
Manage the enrollment of transfer students for the College of Health Sciences (nursing, public health and social work) and all international transfer students. Evaluate credentials to determine academic and personal compatibility with the goals and mission of Belmont University. Provide preliminary transcript evaluations and advice on course selection for prospective transfer students.
Manage the enrollment of all freshman and transfer international students. Evaluate international transcripts and foreign credential evaluations in order to determine admissibility of international students.
Assists with all on campus events. Lead information sessions on campus. meet with prospective international students, and participates in Transfer Days.
Exercise knowledge of the financial aid programs available to Belmont University students and provide financial aid counseling to prospective students.
Assist with recruiting visits, as necessary. Assist with freshmen counseling and transfer counseling for other colleges, as needed by the Director of University Admissions.
Assist other offices within Enrollment Services and Student Affairs as assigned.
