HCA has an exciting opportunity in our Mobility Center of Excellence department. You will be a part of this team defining our enterprise mobility strategy, building relationships with industry proven partners to aid with project capacity, consulting with others in the organization who are already innovating or pursuing mobile technology solutions, developing apps, and solving mobile related challenges.
JOB SUMMARY The Senior Mobile iOS Developer is responsible for leading mobile development within the team as well consulting on other applicable mobile products. The primary purpose of this position is to drive strategy and application development as well as oversee other developers within the team. Additionally, this position will provide leadership and expertise for native mobile development on a consulting basis. This position requires a candidate who can analyze business requirements, drive discovery, construct, test, and implement solutions with little to no supervision in an Agile Development environment and provide mentorship to other developers. The candidate must be a highly motivated self-starter and must be committed to delivering high quality solutions within agreed upon timelines.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES The candidate will be involved in: • Creating new HCA mobility development standards and procedures and subsequently ensuring the team adheres to a high level of excellence. • Creating mobile development resources and guidelines for other teams across the organization to follow. • Drive technical discovery sessions on new and/or collaborative projects. • Leading and managing development projects from inception to elaboration, development, testing, and implementation. Staff will be using various tools. • Responsible for overseeing the work of other team developers when called upon. • Work with vendors or existing development teams when appropriate. • Collaborate with Director of Mobility, product managers, business analysts and mobile developers to identify problems and creatively solve complex problems. • Stay current with mobile interaction guidelines and operating systems.
SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS • Experienced in supervising and mentoring high-performing, highly technical teams • Proven experience in leading the complete development lifecycle for native iOS applications • Ability to succinctly communicate verbally and in a variety of media • Familiarity with Agile techniques in development environment (certifications are preferred, but a proven history is highly desired) • Formal experience as a team development lead • Experience in Healthcare mobility solution design and delivery is a plus • Experience with Apple’s HealthKit is a plus • Relevant experience/knowledge working with Hospitals and their integration needs • Calm under pressure
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS
• Sitting at desk for 4 to 5 hours at a time viewing monitor and typing.
• Ability to work nights and weekends when assigned on-call responsibilities.
• Some light travel may be required (less than 20%).
