The Information Protection Analyst supports the enterprise-wide information lifecycle management (ILM) program by assisting corporate departments in conducting file inventories of electronic stored information and offline media and hardcopy; conducting online research of changes in federal and state statutes, rules, and regulations affecting the retention of corporate and medical records and revising records retention schedules to reflect those changes; by creating records control schedules for electronic and hardcopy records and periodically updating existing records control schedules; assisting in the development of data dictionaries and taxonomies for analysis of unstructured data by automated tools; interacting with off-site records storage vendors, placing orders for boxes of records, coordinating and executing box movement and delivery; entering data into the Iron Mountain database for new boxes; updating weekly tracking report of boxes in Excel format; and assisting in providing ILM training across the enterprise to ensure compliance with Policy EC.014. This position will interact with all Corporate and Facility Records Coordinators, Information Security Officials (FISOs), Director Information Security Assurance (DISAs), Facility Privacy Officials (FPOs), Ethics and Compliance Officers (ECOs), as well as many others on information lifecycle and protection related matters.


• Participates in activities to improve departmental and organizational performance. • Participates in an environment that encourages information sharing, team based resolutions, cross training, and process improvement within the records management area and across organizational boundaries. • Participates in the alignment of strategy, services, and implementation of digital ILM projects and policies across the enterprise. • Analyzes technical characteristics of data maintained in system applications and recommends best business practices for retention, protection, and security • Assists departments in conducting inventories of data and records maintained in applications and information systems, shared drives, and email • Assists in developing policies and procedures, education, and other resources to address the required information lifecycle management compliance • Assists in organizing, planning and executing and coordinating ILM projects of broad scope and complexity • Assists in the development and implementation of solutions to highly complex issues regarding electronic information and records management • Assists in the implementation of records retention and destruction policies, coordinating database administrators and storage area network administrators in maintaining efficient content information repositories • Assists in the review and update of records retention schedules and records control schedules • Assists in the systematic review of legacy information systems and databases, including offline media and hardcopy, for retention • Assists the development of solutions to problems related to managing the Company’s records for the duration of the legal retention period electronically • Assists with the strategic planning process to develop a clear vision of the department’s objectives and to address all regulatory requirements related to information lifecycle management and protecting the Company’s information assets and patient privacy. • Builds and develops strategic working relationships across all lines of business as necessary to identify, evaluate, and reduce liability risk. • Establishes and build strong working relationships across the enterprise in their implementation of ILM policies and practices, coordinating database administrators and storage area network (SAN) administrators in maintain efficient and secure content information repositories.

College degree required.
