HCA, Hospital Corporation of America Clinical Analyst in Nashville, Tennessee
The Clinical Informatics Analyst will contribute to the long term success of HCA Risk & Patient Safety department & HCA PSO, LLC through identification, implementation, and support of technology solutions. They will serve as a liaison working collaboratively with corporate, division and facility staff across the HCA enterprise. They will facilitate the implementation, management, and training for all clinical software systems, and perform ongoing support functions.
Administration of clinical software including configuration, user management, user support, issue resolution, and maintenance.
Manage clinical software deployments including coordination of infrastructure and software installation, perform configuration tasks, and provide end user training.
Development of training content including training aids, presentations, manuals and other content in support of user training.
Conduct formal and informal training sessions for system users both remotely and onsite.
Perform ongoing analysis and periodic audits of current systems in use including their effectiveness, usability and functionality and make recommendations for system and/or process improvements.
Develop and maintain reports for end user utilization
Keep up-to-date on current trends and developments in healthcare informatics
Perform other duties as assigned
EXPERIENCE: Three or more years of experience to include a combination of relevant clinical practice and information technology including clinical applications. Two years’ experience in a clinical setting such as hospital, ambulatory center and/or physician practice preferred.
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and 2 years of highly related experience supporting clinical software or 4 years of highly related experience supporting clinical software.
SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS: Experience working with clinical applications such as Epic, Cerner, Meditech, eClinical Works, Patient Keeper; Willing to Travel up to 50% and ability to support users outside normal business hours as needed; Project management experience a plus; Effective interpersonal and active listening skills; Effective written/verbal communication, physician relations and customer satisfaction skills; Proficient with Microsoft Office, MS SharePoint and Visio.
