TriStar Southern Hills Medical Center is currently looking for a Certified Surgical Technologist.
Shifts:Monday – Friday (10:00am – 6:00pm)

_POSITION SUMMARY:_ The Surgical Technologists work under the direct supervision of physicians/nurses to facilitate the safe and effective conduct of invasive surgical procedures, ensuring that the operating room environment is safe, that equipment functions properly, and that the operative procedure is conducted under conditions that maximize patient safety. Surgical Technologists possess expertise in the theory and application of sterile and aseptic technique and combine the knowledge of human anatomy, surgical procedures, and implementation tools and technologies to facilitate a physician’s performance of invasive therapeutic and diagnostic procedures. Fulfills departmental responsibilities that foster the goals of the hospital’s mission, values and vision.
_Duties include, but not limited to, are as follow:_ * Checks supplies and equipment needed for surgical procedure; * Scrubs, gowns, and gloves; * Sets up sterile able with instruments, supplies, equipment, and medication/solutions needed for procedure; * Performs appropriate counts with circulator in accordance with hospital Count Policy; * Gowns and gloves surgeon and assistants; * Helps in draping sterile field; * Passes instruments, etc., to surgeon during procedure; * Maintains highest standard of sterile technique during procedure; * Prepare sterile dressings; * Cleans and prepares instruments for terminal sterilization; * Assists other members of team with terminal cleaning of room; * Assists in prepping room for the next patient.

_POSITION QUALIFICATION:_ * High School Diploma/GED * Graduate of an accredited surgical technology school or equivalent experience or training * BLS Certification required.
