Grand Strand Medical Center’s Health /Finders/is seeking a Community Relations Coordinator.

The Community Relations Coordinator will collaborate with the Marketing Director, Community Relations Supervisor and team to develop and implement effective marketing strategies that are consistent with the hospital’s overall strategic plans.

Customer Service: The Community Relations Coordinator will g reet all customers and assists with their requests. The position performs finger prick screenings: A1C and cholesterol as well as blood pressure and weight.

Classes and Events : The Coordinator develops, implements and coordinates community health education programs to include health fairs, camps and special events. They will have hands-on involvement in hospital event coordination that will reinforce our branding messages.

The Coordinator is also responsible for instructing health education classes such as CPR and Safe Sitter. This role is the lead for the AHA Training Center by becoming an AHA CPR instructor, manage instructor database and organize annual renewals along with other duties.

Social Media : The Coordinator will spearhead the implementation of the Marketing department’s social media strategy. This will include our Facebook page, Twitter page, Blogs, YouTube channel and any other social media channel. The program will be designed to drive engagement with the community.

Reporting : The y will assist with monthly reporting.

Hours: The position is 40 hours/week, Monday – Thursday, 9:30am – 8pm (10 hour days) and some weekends.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Health Promotion, Public Health or a related field.

Experience: Previous experience with Microsoft Office including Publisher, Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Looking for a person with strong organizational and communication skills, able to work independently and strong customer service skills.

Other Qualifications: Effective time management skills and excel in customer service. Have the ability to type, file, use copy machine and other general office skills. Must be able to work independently but also in a team environment.
