Job Description

The Senior Manager, Events and Experiential Marketing is responsible for driving and delivering the TD brand through successful production of corporate and retail events, outside exhibits, tradeshows and community events and annual WOW! Awards, TD's signature internal employee rewards and recognition event.

Job Requirements

-Provides people management leadership by hiring the best talent, setting goals, developing staff, managing employee performance and compensation decisions, promoting teamwork and handling any/all disciplinary actions, as required

-Manages and participates in training, workload delegation, coaching, succession planning and rewards/recognition for their team members to enable them to excel and achieve full potential

-Oversees all aspects of events planning for internal and external events including in house corporate events and retail grand openings, external exhibits, trade shows and community events

-Oversees all aspects of the production of the Annual TD WOW! Awards programs across the footprint

-Develops and implements strategy and vision for the Events team; point of contact for executive-level management

-Assesses all programs to create annual budget and maintain fiscal responsibility

Qualifications

  • 4 year Degree or equivalent experience required

  • 7+ Years of related experience

  • Proven experience producing large scale events

  • Excellent relationship building and influencing skills

  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills

  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging work environment

  • Solid business acumen, with the ability to strategize, plan, execute, and report initiatives

  • Proven ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal) to senior leadership

  • Excellent supervisory skills, minimum of three years management experience required

  • Budget management experience required

  • Ability to use/learn current technology and software applications related to position
