Position Description: Work as a Technician I Contractor for a leading Medical Device company to alleviate pain, restore health and extend life for patients everywhere. You will support a Web Based Remote Patient Management System used by our clinicians on behalf of our patients.
As a Technician I Contractor, you will work with development and testing project teams through device configuration, testing, problem solving and other support work to help the project achieve project milestones. Our CareLink system has grown in complexity, in addition to devices and programmers, we now support many different types of monitors, mobile apps and other wireless devices all needing to connect to each other. For each project, we need to reprogram our hardware and software to work with the latest project code and connect to the current CareLink environment(s) and IT external systems. We currently lack an owner to correctly configure the hardware, which is resulting in lost time to correct the misconfigured devices. This causes us to impact our top project engineers to stop what they are working on in order to spend time re-configuring these devices for others to use.
Specific tasks include:
Gathering and initial Setup of all devices for use on each project Re-configuring devices with DEV, VT, Staging and Production firmware and software data Generating data needed to test specific test case scenarios Push the data through the system looking for errors Creating test clinics, patients and injecting data into CareLink environments for project use Documenting how to configure and verify the project hardware to share the knowledge. Executing happy path end to end connectivity tests to verify all the devices and systems are talking to each other. Smoke testing the system before handing off the entire project team for use
Have a 2 year degree in a technical field. Must be able to identify, analyze, solve, and communicate technical issues. Have the ability to work both independently and on a team of engineers. Must possess excellent communication skills and a strong willingness to dive in and learn.
Experience using Microsoft Visual Studio, Team Foundation Server and Microsoft Test Manager a plus.
Physical Job Requirements:
Sit/work in front of a computer screen for up to 8 hours per day. Able to lift 25 pounds
