Now, if you were to come on board as aHostorHostess, we-d ask you to do the following for us:

  • Welcome guests in a professional and friendly manner

  • Deliver consistently outstanding service

  • Assist servers as needed and support the general tidiness of the restaurant

  • Present and maintain menus, answer questions regarding the menu, promote menu items, announce any specials

  • Ensure all menus and wine lists are clean and tidy prior to the start of each shift

  • Control flow of guests in restaurant, greeting guests and ensure smooth seating

  • Work with Service Manager to prepare and organize seating plans; seat guests according to seating plan

  • Communicate any special requests to servers, food expediters and/or bussers as appropriate

  • Maximize the capacity of the dining room by assisting with table re-setting and other duties as required

  • Assist Bussers, Servers, Bartenders and Managers as needed

  • Adhere to service standards and policies

  • Follow all Health & Safety policies and procedures

  • Work in compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health & Safety Act

  • Previous work experience in a world-class luxury brand and/or fine dining luxury level service knowledge and training

  • Actively demonstrate teamwork, safe work practices, open communication, accuracy in transactions, respect, sincerity, helpfulness and courtesy

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with strong desire and ability to delight and accommodate guests

  • Strong organizational skills with ability to work in high pressure situations and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Smart Serve certification required
