Our Capital Markets team manages the interest rate and operational risks associated with the origination, sale and servicing of mortgage loans, and provides liquidity for the mortgage assets originated by Wells Fargo.

This position manages and provides leadership to operational activities for several critical functional Capital Markets Units. Areas of responsibility include

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides leadership to a group of non-exempt and exempt staff responsible for deficiency resolution activities for Retail originated loans.

  • Responsible all compliance related activities required for Capital Markets Loan Operations, corporate compliance, internal/external audits, and change management.

  • Responsible to provide leadership to Inventory Control group managing data integrity functions as well as warehouse health activities.

  • Manages ongoing processing efforts. Continually assessing current processes and procedures to assure maximum efficiency, including proper staffing, line balancing, and process metric reviewing.

  • Provide monthly reporting to business partners and monthly management reporting and ensure procedures are updated in a timely manner.

  • Accountable for updating all repurchase products in LIS/SMS/and Arrow based on the results of oversight correction reports, accountable to the Capital Markets technology roadmap, and project involving repurchases (ARS, Legacy system retirements), and requirement gathering for new applications/systems.

Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening and required reporting of certain incidents.

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: customer service, loan administration, collections, or sales environment

  • 3+ years of management experience

Desired Qualifications:

  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills

  • Strong analytical skills including the ability to analyze financial metrics

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Ability to interact with all levels of an organization

  • A BS/BA degree or higher

  • 2+ years of mortgage, banking, or financial services experience

  • Change management experience

  • Ability to coordinate completion of multiple tasks and meet aggressive time frames

  • Ability to execute in a fast paced, high demand, environment while balancing multiple priorities

  • Ability to identify and evaluate trends, isolate root cause, and provide swift/thorough resolution

  • Knowledge and understanding of loan processing, loan document preparation or loan document post closing review

  • Ability to provide leadership by coaching, training, and mentoring
