Wells Fargo Business Initiatives Consultant 3 Operational Process Design & Implementation Lead in Minneapolis, Minnesota

Enterprise Data & Analytics (EDA), part of the Chief Administrative Office business division, focuses on leveraging data as a strategic asset across Wells Fargo to generate insights, anticipate needs, and create compelling, integrated customer experiences. Data is critical to Wells Fargo's continued success at deepening relationships with our customers, creating a seamless and convenient multi-channel experience, and meeting our commitment to helping our customers succeed financially. EDA defines how we use information across the company, align our business practices, and support our continued focus on great customer experiences.

The EDA Transformation Office is chartered to take a leadership position on emerging needs, challenge the “status quo,” drive transformational change for our organization, improve organizational effectiveness, and support the operationalization of strategic business operations.

To achieve our mission, the Transformation Office is structured around three primary workstreams: Marketing & Outreach, EDA Team Strategy Development & Management, and Organizational Excellence.

* * Marketing & Outreach*: focused on defining, governing, and managing the story and brand of EDA. Partners with CDO, SLT, and targeted XLT members to ensure we are delivering a clear, professional, consistent message about who EDA is, the value based services we provide to the enterprise, and how to partner with us.

* * Team Strategy Development & Management*: in partnership with senior EDA leadership, develop an overarching EDA strategic plan that articulates EDA’s mission, vision, and broad goals, demonstrates how we plan to move toward the desired end state, and develops tools and techniques to measure and monitor our progress.

* * Organizational Excellence*: identify, champion, and govern opportunities to enhance or establish broad reaching, transformational EDA processes and best practices that support the organization’s mission to provide best in class data and analytical capabilities to our business partners. Drive the implementation of strategic business processes to help ensure organizational adoption.

The Business Initiatives Consultant 3 role will primarily support the organizational excellence workstream. As the strategic initiatives driven by the Transformation Office are formally approved and begin to take root in the organization, the consultant will have the charter to ensure the implementation and operationalization of these new business processes.

Primary responsibility will be defining, documenting, and enabling core EDA processes that help us run our business more effectively, manage risk, and deliver best in class service to our business partners. This leader will own process definition and, in partnership with offshore resources, ensure the successful adoption and maintenance going forward. This role will also be responsible for evaluating the human and technology resources needed to most effectively support the EDA processes and make recommendations regarding the selection, implementation, and management of those resources. This role will also be responsible for building out and managing the team of offshore resources needed to effectively monitor and support the core EDA processes.

*Multiple locations within the Wells Fargo footprint will be considered.

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: project management, implementation, or strategic planning

  • 5+ years of strategic planning and development experience

  • 5+ years of consultative business analysis experience

  • A Masters of Business Administration (MBA)

  • Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision in a structured environment

  • Ability to make timely and independent judgment decisions while working in a fast-paced and results-driven environment

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment

  • Ability to assess issues, make quick decisions, implement solutions, and influence change

  • Virtual leadership experience with ability to effectively drive results, provide feedback/direction, and manage and build relationships with leaders and team members in a geographically dispersed team environment

  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

  • Solid creative and strategic thinking skills

  • Ability to deliver results with speed and agility

  • Experience developing partnerships and collaborating with other business and functional areas

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Ability to manage a virtual or remote team

  • Financial services industry experience

  • Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access, and Project) skills
