Wells Fargo Apps Systems Engineer 5 in Minneapolis, Minnesota

We are looking for an experienced resource to be the Technical Lead for the WIMT (Wealth Investment Management Technology) High Speed Messaging Bus. This capability closely aligns with our Event Driven Architecture (EDA) and consists of the following components:

1) High Speed Messaging platform 2) Data Transformation and data dependent routing component 3) event and Complex event processing component. This resource will be responsible for development, configuration, interoperability and oversight of components #1 and #2 above. This person will also drive periodic POC's either to verify new functionality or to validate new patterns. This role will require off hours on call pager duty approximately every 3 weeks and periodic travel.

This person will design and implement Solutions such as:

Messaging

Publish and Subscribe Pattern

Authentication and Authorization for Publishers/Subscribers

Calls using REST

Monitoring and Alerting

Registering with Events Repository

Data Transformation

Ability to create xslt for XML to XML transformations

Non XML based transformations using WTX

Error Handling

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of application development and implementation experience

Desired Qualifications:

  • Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Knowledge and understanding of technology support or engineering: overall messaging systems

  • 2+ years of XML (Extensible Markup Language) experience

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to solve complex technical problems

  • Ability to take an active role in the education, mentoring and training of less experienced team members

  • Ability to provide leadership by coaching, training, and mentoring

  • Knowledge and understanding of technology support: on call support management oversight in a 24x7 environment

  • 1+ year of leadership experience in a production environment
