The Technician will work in the Minden calibration labs. In this role, you will execute automated and manual calibration procedures, work with cross functional teams, and promote the necessity of equipment calibration and quality process efficiency.
In the role of Technician you will:
Embrace the Fundamentals of Metrology
Perform routine and complex calibrations
Take part in Metrology audits by external customers
Ensure that all calibrations are complete and accurately documented to provide an accurate historical base for future reference and to meet customer / end user requirements
Develop Metrology calibration procedures of varying difficulty
Interface with vendors to ensure that the proper calibration requirements are met.
Customer Focus - Communicate with external / internal customers to ensure their requirements are met and to resolve customer issues
Multi-task by performing calibration procedures on multiple benches
Participate in EHS related actions, to improve safety in own area
Develop and implement process improvements to reduce cost and cycles
Bring new ideas and positive support to the current process
Implement productivity actions in order to improve the Metrology processes Qualifications/Requirements:
Associate's Degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university
Minimum 2 years of experience with Bently Nevada productsEligibility Requirements:
Work overtime, weekends and holidays, as required
Work in a constant pushing, pulling, lifting, stretching, bending and other physical activities
Be in the shop environment a minimum of 8 hours per day, primarily standing and sitting, as required
Lift objects weighing up to 40 lbs.
Be subjected to extreme heat for extended periods of time Desired Characteristics:
Ability to interpret product specifications
Willingness to learn Fluke procedure writing software
Experience in Sybase Databases
Programming code such as Visual Basic, C++, C#, Java, etc.
Experience with Fluke Met / Cal and Teststand
Experience with Microsoft Office
Experience using hardware debugging tools: oscilloscopes, multi-meters, function generators, etc.
Demonstrated ability to clearly and concisely communicate with various audiences
Able learn and think creatively
Able to work well in a team environment and independently
Externally focused able to consider customer needs and make a commitment to quality.
Self-motivated and directed
Willingness to work overtime as needed
