Role Summary

Responsible for analysis, integration, and verification of embedded controller designs for advanced automotive applications where creativity and initiative are involved as well as a high level of independent judgment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate, integrate, and evaluate development builds of controller software.
  • Create, execute, and maintain software test plans, procedures, and scripts based on input from a variety of sources (use case scenarios, requirements, standards, software FMEA, etc.)
  • Thoroughly document, analyze and root cause issues found during validation.
  • Automate system level test cases and ensure the implementation of feature regression testing.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve vehicle level integration issues including hardware, software, calibration and vehicle wiring.
  • Perform complex system design analysis.
  • Conduct and participate in peer reviews for algorithm, software and specifications incorporating functional requirements or test cases.
  • Provide support as required for calibration development trips, assembly plant builds, field issue resolutions, prototype shops, durability cars, and captured test fleet vehicles.
  • Develop and provide ECU production calibrations
  • Stay abreast of new technology and competitive products

Required Skills and Experience

  • 2+ years of experience developing microprocessor-based, real-time control algorithms and software in high level (C) language
  • Required BS Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Computer Science
  • Demonstrate a high level of analytical ability with excellent communication and interpersonal skills which is required to build relationships with team members and other key stake holders to resolve challenging issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple difficult assignments with a high level of autonomy and accountability for results.
