The director has knowledge of all areas including adult, pediatric, neonatal and diagnostic testing. The Director assures that productivity meets the standard daily by ensuring the correct number of therapists are present for the number of procedures. He/she ensures the department has the necessary equipment for daily operations. He/she ensures the monthly schedule for employees is appropriate to the needs of the hospital’s respiratory care service. He/she ensures Kronos is approved daily and that Lawson and PLUS documentation is kept current. The Director ensures there are adequate supplies and equipment for care of patients and over sees the purchase of these supplies. The Director hires new employees, creates annual budgets, holds employees accountable, coaches and issues corrective actions, as well as performs other duties as assigned. / / / /
QUALIFICATIONS:1. Must be able to read, write, and speak English, as well as possess good verbal and written communications skills. 2. Registered Respiratory Therapist 3. BS degree, Masters preferred 4. Previous directorship preferred 5. 5 years of previous supervisory experience.
