The Assistant Director of Graduate Medical Education (ADME) is responsible for maintaining oversight of the accreditation process for each individual specialty program as well as the institutional accreditation. The ADME will work on a specific campus, but reports directly to the Assistant Vice President (AVP) GME/Assistant Designated Institutional Official (A-DIO) to direct the administrative operations and maintain appropriate oversight and daily management of all medical education programs with the institution. Program compliance with accrediting and regulatory agencies is critical to the success of the program(s). The ADME will make formal recommendations for improvement based on accreditation requirements for both the institutional and program accreditation. The ADME will assist and guide initiatives as directed by the AVP/ADIO to open new residency programs. The position includes responsibility for developing and managing capital budgets. The ADME will assist with policy development and maintain documents relative to GMEC meetings and accreditation. The ADME will work in conjunction with the VP-GME/DIO, AVP-GME/A-DIO, Program Directors, and the hospital administration office to develop GME educational sessions applicable to all disciplines.

· Ability to handle sensitive information with absolute confidentiality.

· Ability to efficiently and accurately manage multiple tasks and projects

· Working knowledge of software applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

· Ability to make decisions independently or to escalate issues as needed.

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university

Preferred: Master’s degree from an accredited college or university

EXPERIENCE • Minimum of 4 years of graduate medical education experience or an equivalent combination of experience and education is required.


· Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. · Excellent presentation skills. · Additional languages preferred.
