World class WWAPC Center is seeking a versatile systems engineer with an understanding of Electrical, Mechanical Optical and Software Engineering disciplines is required. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual that enjoys solving problems on different systems and evolving hardware.
Support the interfacing of programs within the WWAPC test environment. Assist programs with test environment capabilities. Scheduling of Programs and arbitration may be required of the requestors with the currently scheduled Program User or Users of the lab space at different time allocations.
Interpersonal skills are necessary to negotiate solutions between different groups of Program Users. With the program team, showcase lab capabilities to a wide variety of visitors including engineers, VIP's, dignitaries and business development staff.
Minimum Education And Experience
Bachelor's Degree and 8 years work experience or equivalent experience
Required Skills And Education
Control Engineering - Familiarity with motion control systems using PID control loop methodology. Real time embedded systems.
EO/IR Systems - Threat detection fundamentals and operational tech in the UV and IR spectrums. A good grasp of optics and associated parameters and understanding threat detection system environments is recommended.
Comm Links - Ethernet TCP/IP, UDP, Scramnet, HOTLink, 62.5/125LC-LC Duplex interfaces, serial, etc.
Software Engineering C , C# on Windows and Linux environments. Real-time systems
Work with the TLG Lead to define future lab capability
