As our Food Operations Manager, you will manage a best in class dining experience for the patients at Rideout Memorial Hospital. Your success will be measured by your ability to:
Manage the timely and accurate delivery of patient meals
Conduct daily patient rounding’s to monitor and evaluate overall patient satisfaction levels
Effectively manage a high volume patient tray line operation
Regularly analyzes patient satisfaction data, financial results, and implements additional measurements and action plans in these areas to achieve optimal unit performance.
Ensures compliance to food safety, sanitation, and overall workplace safety standards.
Exceed Sodexo standards for Gold Check audits
The ideal candidate has recent experience managing a food service program, understands the importance of patient satisfaction, is able to evaluate and recommend improvements and quality assurance programs targeted to help improve customer satisfaction. Responsibilities include: participation in and directing the patient meal operation; daily meal rounding and interaction with the patients, their families and the nursing staff; ensuring proper meal assembly procedures & staff training and provide the highest levels of patient satisfaction.

Assumes General Manager’s (GM) responsibilities and authority in his/her absence in complex multi-functional accounts. Has direct client contact on day-to-day issues. Develops and Implements plans under the direction of a GM 5 or higher. Manages through managers. Maintains cash control and payroll records. Responsible for financial/HR functions. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations.
Qualifications & Requirements
Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree
Basic Management Experience - 3 years
Basic Functional Experience - 4 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
