Provider Supervisor

Reporting to the CRM Data Manager, the Provider Supervisor plays a critical role and influences the business results of the entire CRM organization, and HCA as a whole. For us (HCA) to be successful we must be part of ONE team; ONE team with each member totally focused on the needs of our Patients. It is important to remember (and to incorporate into your daily work activities) that HCA is not in the Data Management business, but rather we are in the Healthcare business. While quality data is extremely important, its importance must be kept within the ‘Patient Focused’ perspective.

Summary of Key Responsibilities:

As the data supervisor you are responsible for ensuring data quality and customer (stakeholder) satisfaction. You will work closely with the Data Manager in shaping and managing stakeholder expectations while simultaneously achieving our operational goals. The data supervisor’s success is highly leveraged on his/her ability to accomplish stated objectives through resources provided (people, systems, processes). This position is responsible for guidance and direction for day to day Provider team activities. This includes: assigning work to DACs, implementing process changes, ensuring processes are followed and are working effectively, coaching and mentoring junior employees, problem resolution, escalation management, interaction with Stakeholders and Leadership as needed.

Key Responsibilities/ Duties:

  • Scheduling personnel and ensuring appropriate coverage for work demand

  • Assisting Data Manager in employee and contractor evaluations

  • Coaching assigned personnel according to needs and desires, including regular one-on-one meetings detailing performance metrics

  • Supporting (and at times ‘Leading’) hiring, interviewing, and training efforts

  • Ensuring employee recognition

  • Determining and communicating corrective action when/if needed

  • Attending leadership meetings and offering his/her perspective

  • Reviewing data in real-time (within 24-hours) and taking appropriate action when required

  • Performing DAC-related function approximately 25% of the time

  • Consolidating, analyzing, and sharing data results with Stakeholders and Employees in a timely manner

  • Interacting with Stakeholders

  • Serving as an employee advocate

  • Providing direct and ongoing supervision of DACs with regard to conflict resolution and HR policy compliance

  • Evaluating employee assets (computer, headsets, chairs, etc.) for availability, functionality and effectiveness

  • Interacting with other CRM department personnel in problem resolution and process improvement

  • Evaluating processes and standard operating procedures to ensure work alignment and to challenge efficiency/effectiveness

Education and Experience:

  • 4 year college degree preferred

  • Proven leadership skills with 2 years minimum experience

  • Microsoft Office products (WORD, PowerPoint, Excel)

  • High level of accuracy and proficiency in systems and applications
