Kforce Business Systems Analyst in Louisville, Kentucky

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Business Systems Analyst in Louisville, Kentucky (KY).Summary:Business Analysts meet with customers to detail requirements for system operations, aligning operations within the warehouse with the software purchased. System requirements are documented and a Functional Specification Document (FSD) is produced. The Analyst secures FSD approval from the responsible parties. The candidate interfaces between the client's system and the customer's systems which are detailed and documented in a separate FSD.System requirements are communicated to the development team for design/development and the QA team for testing. This person assists the development and QA teams as needed through development and/or configuration of the system to be delivered. The individual also works with the Project Manager on the testing and implementation for a smooth transition.General Duties:

  • Create and maintain Functional Specification Documents (FSDs) for a project

  • Communicate with the customer and project stakeholders to gather requirements and system functionality with goal of receiving approval of project functional specification

  • Leads the project team through the FSD phase of the project and secure approval on the FSDs

  • Communicate project requirements to the development team for design/development

  • Assist the QA group in their efforts as needed to develop test plans and perform testing

  • Participates in internal integration testing activities to ensure continuous control over the end-product

  • Create user documentation and training material for the project

  • Perform customer training

  • Provide Sales and Operations groups with product support

  • Participates in training for internal groups on new products or changes to existing products

  • Bachelor of Science with strong computer skills including: Microsoft Office, Visio, and databases

  • 5 years of experience dealing directly with project stakeholders and development team

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Experience working with WMS and/or Supply Chain applications a plus, but not required

  • Willing to travel 15 to 20% of the time
