L.A. Care Health Plan Senior Programmer Analyst in Los Angeles, California

DUTIES The Senior Programmer Analyst will be responsible for establishing a process for Healthcare Analytics Data Extraction. Must be a technical leader in the development and creation of a functional and scalable application from design and development through testing and implementation. This position will design system policy for automated data hygiene, data integrity, data ETL, data cleansing, data enhancing, re-usability, and file re-configuration. This position will apply the 7 stages of Database Normalization as needed to make sure that the system and application are running and functioning efficiently. The Senior Programmer Analyst will extract data from multiple sources and present in a useable format to analysts.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION: Required: High School Diploma

Preferred: Master's Degree in Information Technology

EXPERIENCE: Required: With High School Diploma: At least 10 years experience in a technical function utilizing multiple software applications in a healthcare HMO environment

Expert knowledge in relationship databases and report writing Advanced knowledge of Visual Basic, SQL, Oracle, FoxPro, Access, and Crystal reports Strong analytical, organizational and interpersonal communication skills High level of independent judgment Ability to prioritize multiple projects without compromising desired timeline Requires a broad knowledge of Microsoft Access, Hyperion, Trizetto QNXT, SQL server, Crystal report, Portable Development Format (PDF) for publishing and Oracle using Component Object Model (COM) technology (all of which will be done using the principle of system development life cycle.)

Preferred: With Associate's Degree: At least 7 years experience in a technical function utilizing multiple software applications in a healthcare HMO environment

With Bachelor's Degree: At least 5 years experience in a technical function utilizing multiple software applications in a healthcare HMO environment

With Master's Degree: At least 3 years experience in a technical function utilizing multiple software applications in a healthcare HMO environment
